CIDER VINEGAR BARBECUE SAUCE

"This sauce is often referred to as Lexington Style dip, and there are many variations to this traditional Southern sauce."

1 1/2 cups cider vinegar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tsp. hot sauce
1 tsp. browning and seasoning sauce (like Kitchen Bouquet)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

In a medium pan, stir together all ingredients. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly 7 minutes or until sugar dissolves. Cover and chill up to 2 weeks.

Use as a basting sauce for pork or chicken.
