Recipe(tried): Crispy Carb Rangoon

CRISPY CARB RANGOON

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 green onions, finely chopped(scallions)
1/4 cup finely chopped initation crabmeat
1 tsp minced garlic
16 wonton wrappers
Oil for frying
Sweet and sour sauce

In a small bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add the onions, crab and garlic; mix well.

Place about 1 1/2 tsp of the mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.* Moisten edges with water; fold opposite corners over filling and press to seal.

In skillet, hear oil to 375 degreees F. Fry wontons for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towels.

Serve with sweet and sour sauce.

*NOTE: fill wrappers a few at a time, keeping the others covered witha damp paper towel until ready to use.
