Recipe(tried): Delicious Pot Roast

Main Dishes - Beef and Other Meats

I'm not sure about Denny's pot roast, but here is a recipe that my family just loves. It is very simple to make in the crockpot.

Pot Roast

4-5 lb. pot roast (can be partially frozen)
1 pkg. dried onion soup mix
2 can of cream of mushroom soup
wine or beer

1. Season pot roast with salt and pepper and brown all sides on top of stove.
2. Placed browned roast in crockpot.
3. Mix in seperate bowl onion soup mix and mushroom soup. I have used the roasted garlic mushroom soup and it is great. Add one bottle of beer or fill one of the empty soup cans with wine.
4. Pour mixed ingredients over roast.
5. Cook in crockpot on low 5-6 hours.

When finished you have the most delicious flavored pot roast complete with a great tasting gravy.

Enjoy!
