Recipe: Earthquake Cake (using cake mix)

Earthquake Cake

1 cup coconut
1 cup chopped pecans
1 German chocolate cake mix
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
1 stick butter, room temperature
1 lb. powdered sugar

Grease and flour a 9x13 pan, and sprinkle the coconut and pecans in the bottom of the pan.

Prepare cake mix as directed on box and pour over the nuts and coconut.

Soften cream cheese and butter; add the powdered sugar and mix well. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture into the batter, but do not stir.

Bake at 350F for about 1 hour or until done.
