I make these all the time and their extra easy because they don't require the dough to be chilled at all! As far as the thickness goes, it will depend on how thick or thin you choose to roll your dough. These can be made to be thick and soft or thin and crisp which makes this a very flexible recipe. You can add decorator sugars to
these before baking or you can ice them once they are cooled with a simple mixture of Powd. sugar, a bit of milk and food coloring. I hope this helps! Good Luck!
Ps. you can cut the recipe in half if you'd like, I just make huge batches of cookies.

Rolled Sugar Cookies
4 sticks butter or margarine, room temp.
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 tsp. baking powder
6 cups flour
Cream butter and sugar together, add vanilla and eggs,
mix well. Mix flour and Baking powder well, and add
to the other ingredients. No chilling necessary. Roll out
dough on floured surface.
Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes or depending on the
softness you desire. You may have to experiment with
the first batch to get your exact baking time down.
