Recipe(tried): Experiment - Substitute for 100% Bran Muffin in Bran Muffins

I tried Fiber One cereal and it did not break down after soaking in the milk. I even put it through the blender! The muffins were as if made with white flour only. I also tried Kelloggs All Bran and they were not as good as the Nabisco...my next try will be bran flakes. I think the bran must break down thoroughly to make good muffins. Not having Nabisco is a tragedy!...many of us remember those wonderful bran muffins our mothers and grandmothers made and want to continue the tradition!
