Recipe: Fried Liver Sausage with Onions (1940's)

Main Dishes - Assorted
FRIED LIVER SAUSAGE

1 pound liver sausage
2 large sweet onions
3 Tablespoons butter

"Fried liver and onions make a good dish for luncheon at noon. To serve four, slice one pound of sausage into 1/4-inch thick slices and remove casing. Slice two large sweet onions 1/4-inch thick and fry slowly in three tablespoons butter until lightly browned and clear.
Remove to a warm platter and brown sausage slices on both sides in same fat."
