MACAYOS CARNITAS
Cut up some pork shoulder, fist size cuts. Sprinkle with garlic powder and onion powder. Cut 2 oranges in half, squeeze over the meat, mix up and refrigerate overnight.
To cook, put the pork in a pot. Add vegetable oil, and (the secret ingredient) pepsi!!!! You want to put 70 percent oil and 30 percent pepsi. Make sure you have enough oil and pepsi that the meat is submerged.
Simmer on low for a few hours. They will fall apart when they are done. Cook slow!!!
Oh yeah, keep the orange rinds in when you cook it and keep it in the oil to stay moist til you serve it. Good luck!
