GOLDEN COUNTRY CORN FRITTERS
1 1/3 cups sifted flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 (17-ounce) can cream style corn
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 cup Mazola Corn Oil
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Mix corn and egg; add to dry ingredients, stirring lightly.
Heat Mazola Corn Oil in large skillet over medium heat.
Drop batter by tablespoonfuls into hot corn oil 1 layer at a time. Fry about 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
Makes 16 fritters
