Recipe: Graham Cracker Caramel Crisps

GRAHAM CRACKER CARAMEL CRISPS

12 double graham crackers
2 cups miniature marshmallows
3/4 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup flaked coconut

Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

Line 15 x 10 x 1 inch jelly roll pan with graham crackers. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over crackers.

In 2-quart saucepan combine butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until brown sugar is dissolved and butter is melted (4 to 5 minutes).

Pour butter mixture evenly over crackers and marshmallows; sprinkle with almonds and coconut.

Bake for 8 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely. Cut into bars.

Makes 4 dozen
