Recipe: Half-Hour Apple Butter (blender)

HALF-HOUR APPLE BUTTER

1n (25 oz) jar unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/8 tsp ground ginger
1/8 tsp ground cloves

Combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan, stirring well; bring to a boil. Then reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes; stir often. Let cool.

Pour cooled mixture into container of electric blender; process at High speed for 10 seconds or until smooth.

Store in refrigerator.

Makes about 2 cups
