Recipe(tried): Hershey Chocolate Buttercream Frosting (from Hershey's cocoa can)
Desserts - Fillings, FrostingsSandi/SC you asked for the Hershey's cocoa icing recipe. This is the one that I copied off the can several years ago and it's the only one that I use.
Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
6 Tbsp butter
3/4 cup cocoa
2 2/3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
Cream butter in small mixer bowl. Add cocoa and powdered sugar alternately with milk; beat to spreading consistency (additional tablespoon milk may be needed) Blend in vanilla.
My son will double this and put on a 9/13 cake. He loves it. He's in dental school and they now ask him to bring it to pot lucks!!!
