Recipe: Mix-in-Pan Coco-Nana Cake (using cake mix)

MIX-IN-PAN COCO-NANA CAKE

1 3/4 cups Pillsbury Plus Devil's Food Cake Mix*
3/4 cup miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided use
1/2 cup chopped walnuts, if desired
2/3 cup water
1/2 cup (1 large) mashed banana
2 tablespoons oil
1 egg

Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

In ungreased 8-inch square cake pan, combine all ingredients except 1/4 cup of the chocolate chips. Beat with fork until well blended, about 1 minute. Spread batter evenly in pan. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup chocolate chips.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 40 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool.

*Reserve remaining cake mix for making this again or for another use.

HIGH ALTITUDE - Above 3500 Feet:
Add 2 tablespoons flour to dry cake mix. Bake as directed.

Makes 9 servings
