Recipe(tried): Hot Herbed Buttered Chicken (Easy)

Main Dishes - Chicken, Poultry
Sheryl, This is an easy recipe that goes together quicky. I like to serve this with rice or even Rice-a-Roni and just about any green vegetable. You could serve it with hot, lightly buttered noodles and sliced fresh tomatoes as well.

Hot Herbed Buttered Chicken

1 chicken, cut into serving pieces
6 Tbl. butter, melted
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. dried marjoram
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. dried sage
1/2 tsp. dried thyme
1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1 garlic clove, minced
1 bay leaf

Melt butter over low heat. Add remaining ingredients except chicken. Pour over chicken in a baking pan or dish (I ususally use a 13 X 9 X 2 inch pyrex casserole dish.) Bake uncovered at 400 degrees F for 45 minutes, basting occasionally. Good hot or cold.
