Main Dishes - Pork, Ham
Hot Ziggities
Source: Pillsbury's "3rd Grand National $100,000 Recipe & Baking Contest Cookbook," copyright 1952.

1 lb. skinless wieners, ground
2 tbsp. prepared mustard
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 cup shortening
1/4 cup tomato catsup
3 tbsp. cold water

Mix ground wieners, mustard and egg.

Sift flour and salt; cut in shortening until particles are the size of small peas.

Combine catsup and cold water; sprinkle over flour mixture, blending lightly with fork.

Divide dough in half; roll each on floured cloth or board to 12x9-inch rectangle. Cut each into four 6x4 1/2-inch rectangles.

Divide meat mixture equally on pastry. Fold over pastry so the short edges are together; seal edges well. Place on un-greased baking sheets.

Bake in hot oven (425 degrees F) for 15-20 minutes. Serve hot.
