Recipe: Houston's Hawaiian Ribeye Steak Marinade (not Houston's)

Toppings - Rubs and Marinades
HAWAIIAN MARINADE (LIKE HOUSTON'S)
Excerpt from source: The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, TN
By Charlotte Durham, May 19, 2004

...There's a popular version of Houston's marinade used on Hawaiian ribeye steak on the Internet that uses apple cider, but we're more inclined to believe that the version Sarah Rushing sent is "it" if only because it came in gigantic proportions. We divided it by four, then by four again to get the version you see here.

1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple with juice
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
3 tbsp. unsweetened pineapple juice
1 tbsp. honey
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. ginger

Combine all ingredients in large bowl.

Put steak, chicken or pork into the bowl and cover with foil. Refrigerate overnight.

Next day, grill meat.
