Recipe: Hungarian Peach Bars (using peach preserves and refrigerated crescent roll dough)

1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
1 1/2 cup pecans, divided use
3/4 cup white granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 to 1 1/2 cups peach preserves
FOR THE TOPPING:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup coconut
1/4 cup butter
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (350 degrees F if using a glass baking dish).
Unroll dough into the rectangles and spread in ungreased 13x9 inch pan; press over bottom; set aside.
In medium bowl combine 1 cup pecans, white granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sprinkle over crust. Spread preserves over this; set aside.
TO MAKE THE TOPPING:
Stir together well the flour, brown sugar coconut, remaining 1/2 cup pecans, and butter. Lightly spoon topping onto top of preserves.
Bake at 375 degrees (350 degrees F if using a glass baking dish) for 30 minutes or until brown. Cool completely, then cut into squares.
