Recipe(tried): I love Sugar Jumbles - variations

Desserts - Cookies, Brownies, Bars
Sugar Jumbles were the first thing I baked at about age 10. That would have been 1973.
Lately I have rediscovered the recipe and have made some variations. Sliced almonds are great, but a little goes a long way. I would start with about an eighth of a cup and then adjust upward to taste. The almond flavor adds a flare to the recipe. So does about a quarter teaspoon of nutmeg. You can also add cinnamon and maybe a dash of clove.
A little goes a long way with the basic Sugar cookie recipe. It is a great base from which to innovate and make into your own unique creation. Thanks for reading my suggestions.
