ICE CREAM CAKE
1 box of your favorite cake mix plus ingredients to make it
1 recipe Buttercream Frosting (recipe follows)
1 pint of your favorite ice cream
Mix and bake cake as directed. Cool completely.
Prepare Buttercream Frosting. Soften ice cream.
Use Butter Cream Frosting to make a ring around the top edge of the bottom layer of cake - this will make leave a well in the center for the ice cream.
Spread softened ice cream in the center of cake and gently spread to the edges.
Top with remaining cake layer. Freeze 1 hour.
Remove from freezer and frost with Buttercream Frosting. Decorate as desired. Store in freezer.

2 cups Crisco vegetable shortening
2 pounds powdered sugar, sifted 3 times
2 tbsp clear vanilla flavoring
1 tbsp clear butter flavoring
3 to 6 tbsp water
