Recipe(tried): J. ALexander's Orzo and Wild Rice Salad

Salads - Rice, Grains
J. ALexander's Orzo and Wild Rice Salad

I know the ingredients you will have to tweak them to taste.

Orzo, cooked al dente, the key here is to not quite cook it all the way through, as it will continue to absorb the oils and flavors of the ingredients of the salad. Also the texture is important, cooked too long it will become mushy and clumpy.

Brown Wild Rice, follow package instructions. The ratio for the pasta to rice is abouot 2 to 1.

Red and Yellow Peppers diced
Dried Currants
Roasted slivered almonds
Diced red onion
White Pepper
Garlic Powder
Salt
Kraft Italian Basil Vinagrette
Fresh julienned basil.

The dressing and fresh basil sould be left off the salad until service.

The Kraft dressing is VERY close to the house made vinagrette dressing that J's makes. If you ask the management they will sell you some of the dressing by itself.
