Recipe: Jello Salads (3) using cream cheese, pineapple, evaporated milk and mayonnaise
Salads - Fruit, GelatinJELLO SALAD
1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime Jello
1/2 cup boiling water
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple and juice
Combine Jello and 1/2 cup boiling water. Add other ingredients in order listed. Mix well with electric mixer and pour into mold or bowl. Refrigerate until set.
PINEAPPLE CHEESE SALAD
1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime Jello
1 cup boiling water
1 cup evaporated milk
2 pkgs. (3 oz. each) cream cheese, softened
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup nuts, chopped
Dissolve Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Add cream cheese. Use an electric beater to mix softened cream cheese and Jello together.
Add other ingredients. Pour into square or round pan. Chill until firm.
SEAFOAM SALAD
1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime Jello
1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon Jello
1 cup hot water
1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple
1/2 cup mayonnaise
Dissolve Jello in 1 cup hot water. Let it cool.
Mix together remaining ingredients. Add to jello mixture. Pour into a serving dish and refrigerate until set.
