Kids Fruit Salad
rec.food.recipes/Fred Towner
Yield: 5 Cups

Kids dig into this - think it is the cool whip they are interested in.

17 oz can fruit cocktail, drained
1 1/2 cup miniature marshmallows
2 medium bananas, sliced
1 medium apple, coarsely chopped
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 cup maraschino cherries, halved
1 1/2 cup cool whip

Stir sliced apples and bananas in lemon juice to keep from turning dark. In large bowl, combine all ingredients except cool whip. Gently fold in cool whip. Cover; chill until served.
