Recipe: Machine Shed Stuffed Glazed Chops (with Apple Stuffing and Apple Glaze)
Main Dishes - Pork, HamMACHINE SHED STUFFED GLAZED CHOPS
FOR THE APPLE GLAZE:
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup apple juice
FOR THE APPLE STUFFING:
3 cups croutons
1/3 lb. apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1/2 cup apple juice
1/2 cup celery, diced
1/3 cup raisins
1/4 cup (2 oz.) melted margarine
FOR THE STUFFED CHOPS:
4 (13 oz.) center-cut rib chops
In saucepan, combine glaze ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 1/2 hour.
While the glaze is cooking, combine all stuffing ingredients together and toss; set aside.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Split chops in half by making on cut from meat-side to bone. Leave connected at bone. Stuff each chop with approximately 3/4 cup apple stuffing.
Bake approximately 45 minutes to internal temperature of 165 degrees. Brush with glaze last 15 minutes. May be covered with foil, if browning too fast.
