I'm not the person that you were requesting it from, but I hope this will do.
My husband is Cherokee, but this recipe is for Navajo Frybread, as it is referred to by anglo's or
Bread of the Dine'(Bread of the people)
3 cups flour
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add warm water and knead until dough is soft, but not sticky. Tear off one piece at a time and stretch and pat dough until thin and round. (About 6 inches across) Poke a hole through the middle of the dough and drop it into hot cooking oil. Brown on both sides, turning once.Serve hot with honey or jam. Don't forget to poke the hole, for that lets out the evil spirits!
