APPLE-CIDER HAM
3/4 cup dark molasses
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup apple cider
1 3 lb canned ham
GARNISHES:
2 medium red apples, quartered, cored, and cut into twelfths
fresh parsley
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix molasses, vinegar and cider in a small bowl or measuring cup.
Place ham in a small roasting pan and score top with a sharp knife. Baste with 1/4 cup of the cider mixture (a bulb baster is best for this).
Bake 30 minutes, basting twice, using 1/4 cup more of the cider mixture each time.
Decorate with apple slices and baste again. (Bake apples that won't fit on ham alongside it.) Bake 30 minutes longer, basting twice more.
Slice ham and garnish with apple slices and parsley.
