Recipe(tried): No Bake Cookies

Deb, here is the recipe I grew up with and think is what you're looking for.

No Bake Cookies

2 cups white sugar
1/4 lb. margarine
3 cups quick oats
1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup peanut butter

Combine sugar, margarine, milk and cocoa in large saucepan. Cook for 1 minute after it comes to a boil. Stir constantly. Remove from heat. Add oats and peanut butter. Stir well and drop onto waxed paper in sizes you want. Let cool.
