PEACH PIE DELUXE
FOR THE CRUMB TOPPING:
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
FOR THE PIE:
1 (9 inch) pie shell
5 to 6 peaches, peeled and sliced
2/3 cup white granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground allspice or cinnamon
2 tablespoon butter or margarine
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
TO MAKE THE CRUMB TOPPING:
Cream 1/2 cup butter and brown sugar together. Cut in flour; set aside.
TO PREPARE THE PIE:
Line pie shell with sliced peaches.
Mix white sugar and allspice or cinnamon together. Pour over peaches. Dot with 2 tablespoons butter. Cover top with crumb topping.
Bake for 40-50 minutes or until brown.
Makes 1 (9-inch) pie
