Recipe: Peanut Butter Candy (cooked)

PEANUT BUTTER CANDY

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup dark Karo corn syrup
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 cups peanut butter
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugar, water, and corn syrup in a saucepan. Cook to soft ball stage when tested in cold water. Remove from heat.

Add peanut butter, butter, and vanilla. Beat until stiff.

Spread onto greased cookie sheet and let set until cool. Cut and serve.

I haven't tried this recipe so I'm not sure if it's even close to what you're looking for, but I thought you might want it to experiment with if you recipe doesn't turn up.
