Pineapple Souffle

This is a great accompaniment to ham. It sounds unusual, but is delicious.

4 cups bread cubes
3 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups crushed pineapple (1 can plus), drained
Butter

Butter a 9-10 cup glass baking dish. Add bread cubes and let sit 15 minutes to dry. Mix together milk and eggs; beat well. Mix together sugar and pineapple. Add the two mixtures together. Pour over bread cubes and mix gently. Dot with butter. Bake at 350F for 35 to 40 minutes.
