Recipe(tried): Pollo a la Chilindron (Chilindron Style Chicken)

POLLO A LA CHILINDRON

One chicken, cut up
1 cup chopped smoked ham (may substitute bacon)
2 large tomatoes - chopped
2 small green peppers or 1 large red pepper
1 large onion
3 cloves garlic minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup white wine
1 teaspoon mild paprika
Salt to taste

Saut the chicken pieces until they turn brown and set aside. Saut green pepper, onion and garlic. Stir in paprika. Return the chicken to the pan. Cook for about 10 minutes on medium heat, stirring occasionally. Add the chopped ham or bacon. Cook for five more minutes. Add wine and chopped tomatoes. Simmer, uncovered until chicken is fully cooked - about 25 additional minutes.
