Recipe(tried): Preventing soggy pie crust

Desserts - Pies and Tarts
I always paint my bottom pie crust with egg white before baking. Even if it is prebaked or not. This way any kind of filling will not sog up the crust. The only difference is that if it will be prebaked, paint it the last couple of minutes after removing the foil and beans (or whatever you use to keep the bottom flat). Have fun baking!
