Recipe(tried): Quick and Easy Green Pepper Steak.......

It is so hard to believe that school is back in session again, what a short summer! After a long day at school, the last thing I wanted to do was cook for a long time. I decided to give into hubby's request for green pepper steak (one of his favorites) and I served it over rice. It is a really quick and easy recipe. I have made this recipe for so many years, it is one of our favorite meals. Enjoy!

Green Pepper Steak

1- 2 pound round or top sirloin steak, cut into strips.
1/2 cup seasoned flour (add 1 teaspoon salt and pepper)
1 large bell pepper, rinsed, cored, and cut into strips
1 medium onion, cut into strips
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 cup water
1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce

Flour steak strips and place in grease to brown in skillet, drain excess oil. Add water, pepper and onion heat to boiling. Reduce heat and add other ingredients. Simmer covered for about 30 to 45 minutes or until meat and vegetables are tender.

** We like our meat really tender as well as our peppers. If you prefer a more crunchy pepper, adjust cooking time.
