I put fennel seeds in my spaghetti sauce, and use more basil that oregano. If I'm not using hot sausage, I also put a few red pepper flakes in and a little sugar. I also use about a tablespoon of rum in pumpkin pies that are going to church. Keeps them guessing! And, I always put a couple of teaspoonfuls of vanilla in my pancake batter and the egg mixture I dip french toast into!
