Recipe: Rhode Island Peach Slump (with biscuit topping)

RHODE ISLAND PEACH SLUMP

6 cups fresh sliced peeled ripe peaches
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 cup water
12 baking powder biscuits (about 1 1/2 inch size)

Combine first four ingredients in a heavy skillet.

Bring to a simmer and top with (uncooked) biscuits.

Cover and simmer for about 30 minutes.

Serve with cream.

Servings: 6
