Desserts - Cookies, Brownies, Bars
After reading a rice krispies cookie recipe in the latest newsletter, I wanted
to share a recipe I have had for many years and is well loved by my family
at Christmas.

RICE KRISPIES COOKIES

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In small bowl combine:
1 1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt

In large bowl combine:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
Beat until creamy.

Add:
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
Mix well, blend in flour mixture.

Stir in:
2 cups Rice Krispies
1/2 pkg (1 cup) chocolate bits.

Drop by level teaspoonfuls on nonstick cookie sheets.

Bake 8-10 minutes. Cool on wire rack - a delicate cookie.

Makes 3 1/2 dozen
