Recipe: Sawmill Gravy like Cracker Barrel

I worked at Cracker Barrel for 2.5 years and analyzed the gravy..it came in pre-prepared logs like sausage patties and it was melted, milk was added and it was brought to a boil..it was made in 1 gallon batches..the sasauge patties are finely ground (looks like they used a food processor). The sausage crumbles were the same size as coarse, freshly ground black pepper it contained. A lot of people did not believe it contained pork..there was an unusual ingredient to me which might have been cornstarch... I prefer and want the recipe for Hardee's sausage gravy.. Thanks..
