Recipe(tried): Scallop Potatoes

Side Dishes - Potatoes
SCALLOP POTATOES

This is my mother's recipes for scallop potatoes. It is so easy every thing is layered.

6 potatoes, peeled, sliced into rounds
flour
salt and pepper
butter
milk*

Coat your dish with Pam cooking spray or lightly grease it (very important).

Layer potatoes in bottom of dish, sprinkle about 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour over potatoes, salt and pepper, and 3 Tbsp. butter dotted over potatoes. Keep making layers until potatoes are gone.

Pour milk till it just comes to the top of potatoes. Cover the dish and place on a baking sheet or piece of foil in the oven to catch any spills.

Bake in oven at 375 degrees F. After 1 hour test to see if potatoes are tender. If you like yours a little brown and cripsy on top (I do) take the cover off the last 5 or 10 minutes.

*The milk can be cold Just add a little more baking time.

Molly
