Recipe(tried): Southwestern Chili Dip (using canned chili and cream cheese, microwave)
Appetizers and SnacksADVERTISEMENT
This is great if your asked to bring an appetizer to a party. It carries well and you heat it in the microwave when you arrive.
SOUTHWESTERN CHLI DIP
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened (can use 1/3 less fat cream cheese)
1 (15 oz.) can Hormel Chili no beans(I buy Turkey Chili no beans because it has less fat)
1 (8 oz.) pkg Monteray Jack cheese with peppers, shredded
2 bunches green onions, sliced with 1-inch of tops
Tortilla chips (for serving)
Layer ingredients as listed, except tortilla chips.
Cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 5 minutes (600-700-watts) or 3 1/2 to 4 minutes (1000 watts).
Serve with tortilla chips for dipping.
