Recipe(tried): Strawberry Jello Salad

Strawberry Jello Salad

This is a very easy recipe but delicious and attractive. It is a favorite of ours.

2 large boxes of strawberry jello
3 smashed bananas
1 package frozen sliced strawberries
1 can crushed pineapple, drained
Sour cream

Mix the jello with the HOT water measurement only, using the amounts on the box.

Add the frozen strawberries. (I use one bag, or two small containers). When the strawberries have thawed and come apart, stir well. Adding the bananas and drained pineapple. Pour 1/2 of the mixture into flat bottomed dish, either rectangular or square, and refrigerate. When it has solidified enough, spread a layer of sour cream - as thick or thin as you prefer. Then gently ladle on the remaining jello mixture. Refrigerate. Cut into squares and serve.

It is bright and colorful when cut, the white cream contrasts nicely with the red and the fruits add great flavor.
