Recipe: Telaryn's Family Salad with Dijon Vinaigrette Dressing

Telaryn's Family Salad
No specific measurements on the lettuce, bleu cheese and walnuts -- all are to taste and depend on the number of people being served, etc. etc.
The entire salad should consist of 50% shredded heart of romaine and 50% mixed baby greens (available at most grocery stores). Throw in a handful of bleu cheese, crumbled, and a handful of chopped, toasted walnuts. Add dressing and stir.

DIJON VINAIGRETTE SALAD DRESSING
BASIC DRESSING RECIPE
3/4 cup salad oil (preferably olive oil extra virgin)
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Black pepper
1/2 tsp Garlic powder
1/2 tsp Italian herb seasoning
1 TBS Dijon Mustard
Blend or shake real well in covered jar. It is preferable to blend in food processor if available.
RECIPE FOR LARGE QUANTITY
1 cup red wine vinegar
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp Italian herb seasoning
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 TBS Dijon mustard
Blend all of the above ingredients in food processor. While processor is running, slowly add:
2-1/2 cups olive oil - preferably extra virgin
