Recipe(tried): To Die For Peanut Butter Easter Eggs (like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups)
Desserts - Candy, ChocolateHi! I saw a request on here for a peanut butter egg recipe.....TO DIE FOR!!! Here it is:
TO DIE FOR PEANUT BUTTER EASTER EGGS
3/4 cup cream cheese, softened
1 cup peanut butter (no sugar added)
1 cup powdered milk (instant non-fat dry milk)
1 cup powdered sugar
melted chocolate (for coating)
Cream together cream cheese and peanut butter. Add powdered milk and powdered sugar with a wooden spoon until smooth (will be on the dry side and an easy to handle dough).
Shape into eggs and place in a single layer on a plate or cookie sheet. Refridgerate at least 1 hour.
Coat with melted chocolate.
Refridgerate leftovers.
This recipe is my own trial and error.....I didn't like the too awful sweet recipes. This is the closest I've come to imitating Reese's peanut butter cups. It's awesome!!!
Makes about 3 dozen medium-size eggs
