This recipe is similar to the Farm Store's
"Too Much Chocolate" ice cream.
Dissolve in top of double boiler - 4 oz
unsweetened chocolate in 4 cups whole milk.
Stir in 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1/4 t salt.
Remove from heat, beat with a wire whisk until
cool and fluffy. Add 1 T pure vanilla, 2 cups
whipping cream, and 2 cups of cream.
Set canister into freezer bucket, pour mixture
into canister. Add 1 cup of semi-sweet mini
chocolate chips. Insert paddles into canister,
cover with lid and freeze according to
manufacturer's directions. When finished,
remove lid and paddles (scrape down), stir in
2 cups of diced brownie pieces (it helps to
dice them if partially frozen), and SWIRL in
2/3 cup of fudge sauce (store bought or home-
made. Repack freezer to ripen for approx. 4
hours.
This is relatively expensive to make, but
worth every dime.
A second recipe, cheap and much easier but
VERY refreshing:
Pineapple-Orange sherbet
In canister, mix 1 can of sweetened condensed
milk, 1 15 oz can of crushed pineapple, and
1 2 liter bottle of orange crush. Freeze
according to manufacturer's directions.
