Recipe: Whole Wheat Waffles with Honey-Pecan Syrup (using Bisquick)
Breakfast and BrunchWHOLE WHEAT WAFFLES WITH HONEY-PECAN SYRUP
2 cups Bisquick
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cups milk
2 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp oil
1 egg
Honey-Pecan Syrup (for serving, recipe follows)
Stir ingredients, except syrup, until blended.
Pour batter onto center of hot waffle iron. Bake as directed for your waffle iron. Repeat with remaining batter.
HONEY-PECAN SYRUP
3/4 cup honey
1/2 cup pecan halves, toasted
1/4 cup butter
Heat the ingredients for the syrup together in a 1-quart saucepan over low heat until butter has melted. Keep warm while waffles bake.
