Recipe: Williamsburg Orange Nut Bars with Orange Icing (using graham cracker crumbs, orange juice concentrate, and dates)

3 eggs
1 (6 oz) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 cup sugar
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup nuts, chopped
8 ounces pitted dates, chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla
FOR THE ORANGE ICING:
1 1/4 cups confectioner's sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons orange juice
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and lightly flour a 9 inch square pan.
Beat the eggs until light and fluffy. Beat in the orange juice concentrate. Stir in the remaining
ingredients and mix well. Spoon the mixture into the prepared pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool in the pan on a rack.
Frost with Orange Icing and cut into bars.
TO MAKE THE ORANGE ICING:
Combine confectioner's sugar and orange juice. Beat until smooth and ready to spread.
Makes 21 to 28 bars
