YULETIDE YAMS
3 pounds yams
1/2 cup half and half
1/3 cup chopped pecans
1/3 cup seedless raisins (optional)
1/4 cup melted butter
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
16 large marshmallows
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter a 2 quart casserole.
Boil yams until tender and peel. Mash yams and add half and half, pecans, raisins, butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix together thoroughly. Place in prepared casserole and top with marshmallows.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes.
Servings: 6
