ISO: Cooking for and living with colitis

Misc.
Hi Sue. I am Sue from Ohio. I have Irritable Bowel syndrome, and diverticulitis. I have suffered immensely for most of my lifetime. I finally, a few months ago, found a book by a food science editor, by the name of Heather Van Vorous. She has Irritable Bowel syndrome, also, and has written a book with recipes to help people with severe gastro problems. This book is a must for you and your husband. I can't tell you how much it has changed my life!!! I started the eating plan, and almost immediately,(within days,) MY problems went awaY!!! Life is finally good. I can actually go away without having to map out my trip by where there was a bathroom. And I can eat out again. I for the first time, this summer in like 6 or 7 years, went on vacation, and enjoyed myself, because I could just get up and go, and not have to eat in my room, and wait for bathroom time to kick in.
PLEASE, try it. Its wonderful. Your husband will give you great kisses for it!!
You may want to take it to his doctor and get it approved, first, but I took it to mine, and she said it was a go. Its just good healthy eating for gastro problems. She is amazed how much it has helped and it recommending it to other patients to try. Sue
