ISO: Desperate for the REAL Loves beans

Those of us who really remember the famous Love's beans know that the recipe that is prevalent on so many sites is NOT the correct one.

The former employee is correct. The beans did have bits of meat in them ( I always thought the meat was pork but HE worked there so I guess it was bits of beef.)

Another thing I remember was some sort of spice that was ball-shaped. My guess was that it was whole grain mustard or maybe even pickling spices.

I just wish SOMEONE would come up with a clone recipe. 25 years is too long to wait for the best beans in the world.

I'm not TOO far from Brea. Do you PROMISE that Rileys has the exact same beans? It may be worth the drive.
