ISO: Honey rolls baked in muffin tins

My mother used to make honey rolls. They don't have honey in the dough. There was a syrup, I think. The dough was rolled, this honey-butter filling was inside, then sliced and baked in muffin tins to make individual rolls. She may have started with Pillsbury hot roll mix. I'd love to have the recipe.
