ISO: Kathy, New Hampshire Re: Mantu - Persian
Misc.Hi Kathy :-) I just now got a chance to check my cookbook, The Cooking of the Eastern Mediterranean by Paula Wolfert. The closest recipe in this particular cookbook is for Manti or Turkish Dumplings with Yogurt Sauce. It's a rather long recipe and since it isn't really what you are looking for I decided not to post it unless you think it might be helpful. The filling is ground lamb, onion, salt, pepper and oregano. The sauce is yogurt, garlic, chicken stock, water, salt, butter, dried mint, and pepper. Let me know if you want me to post this recipe.
