ISO: mocha cake

This wonderful cake was in Family Circle about 60 years ago. Was a darker cake with lighter colored icing and you shaved bitter chocolate on the top after icing. My mother made it, then lost the recipee and I have been looking ever since. It seems to be the icing that is always wrong.
